Chili garlic sauce is a sauce with garlic and chili. I like to use Lee Kum Kee garlic chili sauce or my homemade garlic chili sauce. In this recipe, I used Lee Kum Kee garlic chili sauce because the sauce is not that spicy.
Can I use butter substitute vegetable oil?
Yes, definitely you can use butter instead of vegetable oil. Actually, a lot Western people like to use butter to cook shrimp and seafood.

1. Minced garlic
2. Pour 1/2 tablespoon of vegetable oil into non-stick pan and turn on medium to high fire. Then, add minced garlic and stir fired for a minute.
3. Add washed whole shrimp and stir fried a few time
4. Next, add 1 tablespoon of chili garlic sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of soy sauce, 1/2 tablespoon of sugar and 1 tablespoon of water and stir fried a few minutes until it cooks that shrimp turn in orange red color (Around 3-5 minutes and don't over cook them because the texture of shrimp will change. )
5. Until the shrimp is cooked then add chopped green onion and ready to serve

- 1 pound Raw whole shrimp
- 1 tablespoon Lee Kum Kee garlic chili sauce (depends how spicy you can handle)
- 1/2 tablespoon Soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Water
- 1/2 tablespoon Sugar
- 1/2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
- 3 sticks Green onion
Instructions
