    In this fresh homemade strawberry and white chocolate chip muffins recipe, fresh strawberries are chopped and folded into the batter with white chocolate chips, which gives the muffins a sweet and juicy flavor. The strawberry muffins are tasty, soft and moist. They are best served warm. In fact, homemade fresh muffins are great for gatherings such as baby showers and birthday parties.

    In this strawberry muffins recipe, I like to use fresh strawberries. The fresh chopped strawberries and white chocolate chips are put into the batter and used a spatula to fold them. When you bake the muffins, it is sweet, soft and moist. Besides, in this strawberry muffin recipe I like to add streusel topping which is a crumbly topping that is made with butter, flour and sugar. The streusel topping adds a sweet, delicious texture and flavor to the muffins.  

    What are the ingredients for homemade fresh strawberry muffins?

    In this fresh strawberry muffins recipe, I like to use fresh strawberries and white chocolate chips. The white chocolate chips give extra sweetness and creamy flavor to the muffins. It’s a great match with fresh strawberries. On the other hand, sprinkle some of the topping crumbs that make the muffins tasty! This recipe makes around 16-18 muffins.

    It has two main parts, the batter and streusel topping (crumb topping). The ingredients for the batter are flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, vanilla extract, butter, milk, strawberries and white chocolate chips.

    For the streusel topping (crumb topping), the ingredients are brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, flour and butter.

    Cooking tips for how to make homemade fresh strawberry and white chocolate chip muffins:

    • Melt butter in the microwave for 10-20 seconds, make sure it is completely melted because it is easier to mix the flour batter. 
    • Mix the dry ingredients first, then add the liquid ingredients and mix it well. 
    • The batter is thick. Therefore, it is better to use an electric mixer to mix the batter. 
    • Then, put the chopped fresh strawberries and white chocolate chips into the batter. Use a spatula to fold and mix the ingredients with the batter.
    • For the topping, put the dry ingredients, flour, sugar, brown sugar and cinnamon into the bowl and mix it well. Then, pour the melted butter and mix it well. 
    • You may have extra topping crumbs. If you do, put them in a glass container or ziplock bag and save it for next time.
    • After baking the muffins, put them on a wire rack and let it cool off a little bit before eating.

    Put them in a ziplock bag and refrigerate it for a few days. Or, you can freeze them as well.

    How to warm up strawberry white chocolate chip muffins?

    You can warm it up in the microwave for 20-30 seconds. If it is straight out from the fridge, warm it up for 45 seconds to 1 minute. Also, you can toast in the oven or air fry it at 350 F for 3-5 minutes.   

    Can I substitute strawberries for blueberries in muffins?

    Yes, you can substitute for blueberries and peaches to make different types of muffins.

    Preparation:

    1. Soak 16 strawberries (13 oz) for 10 minutes and wash it 2-3 times.

    2. After that, remove the leaves and cut them into pieces. (The chopped strawberry is around 2 cups, 12 oz.)

    3. Put 1 stick (½ cup) of butter into the bowl. Then, melt the butter in the microwave for 10-20 seconds. Mix it and make sure it is completely melted because it is easier to mix the flour batter.

    4. In a mixing bowl, put 2 cups of all purpose flour.

    5. Then, add 1 cup of regular white sugar, ½ teaspoon of salt and 2 teaspoons of baking powder. Mix it very well.

    6. The following step, crack 2 large eggs (4 oz) into the flour mixture.

    7. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, ½ cup & 2 tablespoons of milk and the melted butter from step 3 into the flour mixture.

    8. Mix it well and the best is to use an electric mixer because the batter is thick.

    9. Next, add the chopped strawberries from step 2 into the batter mixture.

    10. Pour ½ cup (3 oz) of white chocolate chips into the batter.

    11. Fold the fresh strawberries and white chocolate chips into the batter and mix it well.

    Topping crumbs:

    12. For the topping crumbs, put ⅓ cup of brown sugar, ⅓ cup of white sugar, ½ cup of all purpose flour and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder into the bowl. Mix it well.

    13. Then, melt ½ stick (¼ cup) of butter in the microwave for 10-20 seconds. Pour the melted butter into the topping mixture.

    14. Use the fork to mix the topping crumbs well.

    15. Place the 16 cupcake liners into the cupcake tray. (You need two cupcake trays because it can make 16-18 muffins. )

    16. Scoop 2 tablespoons full of batter mixture into the cupcake liners.

    17. Sprinkle a tablespoon of the topping crumbs from step 14 on the muffin batter.

    18. Also, sprinkle ¼ cup (2 oz) of white chocolate chips on top of the muffin batter.

    19. Lastly, preheat the oven at 375 F, bake at 375 F for 16-18 minutes.

    Batter Mixture:

    • 2 cups All purpose flour
    • 1 cup Sugar
    • 2 teaspoons Baking powder
    • ยฝ teaspoon Salt
    • 1 stick Butter (ยฝ cup) melted
    • 2 Eggs
    • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
    • ยฝ cup & 2 tablespoons Milk
    • 16 pieces Strawberries (13 oz, after cutting it will be 12 oz (2 cups), make sure to have 2 cups of chopped strawberry)
    • ยพ cup White chocolate chips (Total of 5 oz, ยฝ cup (3oz) put into the batter mixture, ยผ cup (2oz) sprinkle on top of the muffin batter before baking.)

    Topping Crumbs:

    • ยฝ cup All purpose flour
    • โ…“ cup Brown sugar
    • โ…“ cup White sugar
    • 1 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
    • ยฝ stick Butter (ยผ cup) melted

      Can you substitute gluten free flour instead of all purpose flour and is it the same measurement?
