How to make homemade butter ?

In this cinnamon honey butter recipe, I am going to share how to make your own homemade butter using a glass jar. Not only is it simple to make butter, but also is a great interactive parent and kids activity because kids love helping to shake the bottle and make butter.

However, using a glass jar to shake or make butter is quite a work out. Besides, you can use an electric mixer to make butter which is easier. In addition, homemade butter can add a pinch of salt or any flavors.

Cooking tips for how to make cinnamon honey butter:

    • Use a glass jar to make homemade butter or use an electric mixer to beat the cream into butter.
    • When you use a glass jar, shake the heavy whipping cream until it’s thick and creamy. Then, rest for a couple minutes and shake again for a few minutes.
    • Separate Butter and liquid. Drain the liquid very well.
    • Mix the cinnamon powder, honey and butter very well.

    FAQS:

Can I use other milk to make butter?

Butter is fat. And, it requires high fat content. Therefore, it cannot use soy milk, almond milk, coconut milk, low fat or skim milk. In order to make simple homemade butter, we use heavy whipping cream.

Where can I use homemade cinnamon honey butter for?

Homemade cinnamon honey butter is soft and yummy. The best is to go with fresh warm homemade dinner rolls, pancakes or bread.

Is it ok to use an electric mixer to make homemade butter?

Yes, using a glass jar and shaking is quite a work. To make it easier, you can use an electric mixer to whip the cream into butter.

What kind of honey do you use?

Personally, I like to use clover raw honey because raw honey is healthier.
