    Homemade mango popsicles:

First of all, we love mangoes! Mango popsicles or ice pops are the best treat for kids. In summer, we love to make our easy homemade fruit juice mango popsicles because it is the best and healthier treat.

What kind of mangoes do you use?

Personally, I love Philippines mangoes because they have a strong mango flavor and are sweet. And, I grew up eating a lot of them especially during summer. However, it is hard to find Philippines mangoes in the states.

    fresh Ataulfo mangoes

Most mangoes in the states are Ataulfo mangoes and Haden mangoes. They do not have a strong mango flavor compared with Philippines mangoes. In this easy homemade mango popsicles recipe, I used Ataulfo mangoes.

What are the ingredients for easy homemade mango popsicles?

    homemade mango popsicle ingredients

This homemade fresh mango popsicles recipe has only 3 simple ingredients: fresh mangoes, mango juice and sugar. (You can adjust the amount of sugar or do not add them if the mangoes are very sweet.)

Cooking tips for how to make mango popsicles:

    • Cut and peel around 3-4 small sized fresh mangoes. It’s around 2 cups.
    • Adjust the amount of sugar if the mangoes are very sweet. Or, you don’t have to add sugar.
    • Freeze the popsicles for 8 hours or overnight.
    • Put the popsicles out from the freezer and leave it on the countertop for a few minutes (depending on the house temperature) before pulling the popsicles out.

    FAQs:

    Can I use frozen mangoes?

Yes, you can. Different mangoes have slightly different sweetness. Therefore, you can adjust the amount of sugar to your taste.

What kind of popsicle mold do you use?

I use this type of plastic popsicle mold. Some like to use silicone popsicle mold or metal popsicle mold. plastic popsicle mold and popsicle sticks

How do you keep popsicles from sticking to mold?

I will leave out on the countertop for a few minutes ( depending on the house temperature) before pulling them out. Or, you can dip the bottom of the popsicle mold into warm water for 20-30 seconds. These can help with pulling the popsicles out and not sticking to the mold.

How long do you need to freeze popsicles?

Normally, I freeze them for 8 hours or overnight.

What kind of mango juice do you use?

I use this Jumex brand mango juice because it's easy to find at a regular grocery store. jumex mango juice

How do you store homemade popsicles?

Pull the popsicles out from the popsicle mold, then wrap each individually in a plastic wrap. And, store them in the freezer.
