    What is pad ka prao?

Pad ka prao is also known as pad krapow. Besides, it is called phat kaphrao and some even spell it pad ka pow. It is a popular Thai street food dish like pad thai noodles. Pad ka prao is stir-fried minced meat (chicken, pork, beef or seafood) with holy basil, garlic, chili and soy sauce. Also, it is often served with rice and topped with a crispy pan fried egg.

What are the ingredients in pad ka pao?

In this pad ka prao recipe, I used ground pork, sweet Thai basil, garlic, shallots, tamarind concentrate, lime juice, brown sugar, fish sauce and soy sauce. I put chili peppers as an option. You can add chili peppers if you want it spicy.

Yes, you can. But just add to your taste.

Sure, you can. However, sweet Thai basil has a nice and better fragrance.
